"Voyager" is the 3rd DTR release from Voodoo Dred and his most striking and conceptual work to date. Like the 1977 NASA mission of the same name, this album plays out like an encoded relic for unknown beings to decipher, unveiling tales of ancient human civilisations…

It is also themed around the 14th century voyage of Mansa Abubakari II, a King of Mali who sailed across the atlantic with 2000 ships and was never heard from again. "Voyager" is like a lost audio document of this mission across the Atlantic from West Africa and into the Central and South American jungle.

Providing an insight into Voodoo Dred's own history, these constructions weave mutated african and latin samples with haunted synth melodies and shifting rhythms, driven by a fearless pursuit of the next shit.

The music has an alien energy, it moves through portals, relentlessly seeking new manifestations of itself, warping time and space in the process. Bass blows dust off dense layers of sonic artefacts seeming to originate from parallel dimensions, strangely familiar yet unknown.

Fearless, moody and sometimes frightening with moments of nostalgic beauty, this release defies categorisation. It is for those seeking escape in unexplored places resonating with the spirit of original cultures.
