'TV Was My Daddy' is the first solo record from Filipino electronica pioneer Malek Lopez, a.k.a. Mumuy.

'TV Was My Daddy' is a throwback to Mumuy's time playing alongside Caliph8 as part of the retrofuturistic groove gurus 'Bent Lynchpin'. Mumuy has been involved in numerous left-field projects, and has been an essential player in bringing Manila's underground electronic a culture to venues of convergence across the planet. He's worked with the fusion jazz group 'Humanfolk', electro-acoustic composer Chris Brown, the computer-network improvisation collective 'The Gangan Ensemble', and Germany's minimal techno meisters 'The Teichman Brothers. Mumuy is currently based in Singapore where he works as a sound designer.
